Davide Lufrano Chaves

Davide Lufrano Chaves (April 4, 1983 – December 26, 2013) was an Italian guitarist based in London, UK. He is best known for his work on guitar duo De Fuego and Alejandro Toledo and the Magic Tombolinos, who on January 1, 2014, released a studio album on his tribute.

The album has been made available online for free on Toledo's website with an optional contribution to Multiple Myeloma Research.
==Biography==
Davide Lufrano Chaves was born on April 4, 1983, in Prato, Italy, to an Italian father and a Costa Rican mother. After studies in classical guitar, he graduated from the Giacomo Puccini Conservatory in La Spezia. During this time, he also worked in various styles from around the world, primarily Flamenco and Argentinian Tango.
In 2009 he moved to London, where he co-founded the guitar duo De Fuego and worked with various bands including Tango Porteño and Gypsy Hill. He then joined the lineup of my multicultural band, Alejandro Toledo and the Magic Tombolinos. According to Toledo, "His contribution to the ensemble's transnational sound helped carry it towards a type of "post-world music" deriving from one's own interpretations of and interactions with the music of London's rich cross-cultural environment." 〔
In 2013 Davide Lufrano Chaves was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and died on December 26 that same year.〔
In an article posted on Pratosfera, Davide described some of his frustrations at living in Italy as a musician, and how he had to travel to London to be able to tour his own country. However, he emphasised his admiration for those who remained in their countries to help improve them. He described London as a "magical and frantic place" where "the respect people have for their work is something tangible".〔
